Rig-Site Pad Liners

Containment liners covering the ground/surface are extremely important when it comes to protecting the ground water and keeping contaminants from affecting the area.

Typically an LLDPE, Textured LLDPE or Woven Polyethylene.

Above Ground Modular Tank Liners

We can supply the liner for Above Ground Modular Tanks.

LLDPE or Woven Polyethylene.

Pit Liners

The short term nature of Pit Liners makes the woven polyethylene a perfect fit.

Woven Polyethylene, LLDPE

Choosing the Appropriate Containment Liner

When it comes to choosing a material for a lining job, there are a few different things to consider.  You should find information here to help decide which containment liner material is best suited for your requirements.  There are a number of different geomembranes (liner materials) and they are all essentially created to do the same thing, keeping fluids contained!  They will all do that but certain liner materials will have increased durability, longevity, and/or resistances. Some containment liners hold up better long term (LLDPE, HDPE), some are easier to install (LLDPE, CWPE), and some hold up better to chemicals (HDPE).  Also, sometimes you may want/need a non-woven geotextile (felt) to put down under your containment liner as a cushion for less than ideal surfaces.  Please look over the details about each material to get an idea of what might best suit your needs.  If you have any questions, please call or use the contact form and we'll get back to you quickly!

wovenpolypicWoven coated polyethylene (WCPE) is one of our best selling products. It is manufactured by first weaving high density polyethylene ribbons into a tight weave for durability and strength. Afterwards, the woven material is coated with low-density polyethylene and heated to fuse the layers together for structural stability. The final product is highly resistant to tearing, stretching, puncturing, and chemicals.  The primary function of woven polyethylne liners is suited towards short term containment.  With woven polyethylene, you get outperforming strength (when compared to same thickness LLDPE) on a budget but the trade-off is that WCPE doesn't have the longevity of LLDPE or HDPE.  Lasts up to 5 years in exposed (uncovered) conditions depending on mil thickness, thinner will degrade sooner.
Available in 12, 16, 20, 24, and 30 mil

LLDPEpic(LLDPE) Linear Low-Density Polyethylene is a great material for when you need a liner to last. LLDPE is smooth solid sheet of plastic, it is highly resistant to chemicals like all the polyethylene geomembranes. LLDPE has much better UV resistances when compared to the woven poly.  It is also easy to repair with just a hot air welder and a spare scrap to cover the hole/tear, something that is not typically done with the woven poly.  LLDPE really shines in its longevity if the liner is backfilled (covered with earthen material) to protect it from UV rays.  Generally, the thicker the LLDPE, the stronger it will be and the longer it will last when exposed to UV rays.  Sometimes LLDPE goes by brand names while some simply call it LLDPE.  Lasts up to 8 years in exposed (uncovered) conditions depending on mil thickness, thinner will degrade sooner.
Available in 20, 30, and 40 mil

TexturedLLDPEpic(LLDPE) Textured LLDPE is a textured on one side version of our LLDPE. It has all the same elements of the smooth LLDPE with the exception that it has a textured surface.  The textured surface extends approximately 10 mils higher than whatever mil thickness is claimed.  Textured LLDPE is useful in applications where people will be working around or on top of the liner, it will provide traction to minimize slips and falls. A common use of the Textured LLDPE is for underneath rig locations (Rig-Site Pad Liners), it prevents spills from getting into the ground but still provides a safe surface to walk on.  It also can be used in pits where wildlife is present or if there's a concern of an animal/person falling into the pit, the traction would aid with getting out.  This material can be patched and hot air welded the same as the smooth LLDPE for holes and tears.

HDPEpicHDPE (High Density Polyethylene) is a strong and rigid material that is used in long term pit applications requiring excellent chemical resistance, i.e. disposal ponds, evaporation pits, or landfills.  The material itself is relatively low cost but must be purchased in whole rolls of material, shipped from the manufacturer, and then installed and welded in the field on-site. It is not available to be delivered prefabricated.  The biggest draw to HDPE is its excellent chemical resistance.  HDPE comes in 23' wide rolls that vary in length depending on what mil thickness is required.  If you require HDPE, please call us and we can supply you with a quote for the materials and/or installation.  Lasts 20 years for the 60 mil in exposed conditions.

Available in 40, 60, and 80 mil (more upon request)

PVCpicPVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a non-reinforced material that is easy to use and provides many advantages such as resistance to harmful chemicals. When buried, the PVC can have a lifespan of over 20 years. Another reason people and businesses choose PVC is for the ease of seaming in the field. If a piece cannot be made to the size of the pit, it can be glued in the field without the need for expert installation. Lasts up to 5 years in exposed (uncovered) conditions.

8ouncegeotextpicNot a containment liner, but used in conjunction with liners. Most commonly sold at 8 ounce weight per square yard, also available lighter (thinner) or heavier (thicker).  Non-woven geotextile, "felt," will provide a cushion under the liner for situations when there's a rocky subgrade or just want some extra assurance.  Sold by the roll, 8 ounce roll size is 15' x 300', 4500 square feet per roll.
Available in various Weights

Price on 8 ounce varies from $450-$575/shipped, per roll, depending on order quantity.
